Slopstarter is a platform for funding AI usage. Money contributed to a campaign or fund is converted into AI credit: usage of OpenAI or Anthropic models, provided to the recipient as a spend-capped API key or allocation. It is never paid out as cash, and it cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.

Slopstarter is not a bank, payment institution, or investment platform. Contributions are not deposits, loans, or investments, carry no financial return, and do not give contributors any ownership in a project.

Campaigns and funds are created and run by their creators, who are solely responsible for their content, their promises to backers, and delivering any rewards. Slopstarter does not verify project claims and does not guarantee that a project will be completed or that rewards will be delivered.

Campaigns are all-or-nothing: backers are only charged if a campaign reaches its goal by its deadline. See the FAQ for how pledges, fund voting, and refunds work.

Token counts shown alongside amounts are rough estimates of what the money buys on Claude Fable 5.1 / GPT-6 Astra, based on those providers' published list prices and an assumed mix of input and output tokens. Actual usage depends on the model, prompts, and provider pricing at the time of use, and may differ significantly.

Amounts converted into other currencies use daily reference rates from ExchangeRate-API and are for information only. What you are charged is determined at checkout by the payment provider.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Slopstarter does not store full card details. The payment provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.
